Our 2009 Charity Christmas Fayre was in aid of Rosie’s Helping Hands, a local charitable trust run by
the wonderful Sean and Karen Ross,
in memory of their daughter Rosie, who was fatally stabbed in a
motiveless and random attack in 2001.
Karen Ross, Compass Suites General Manager Rachel Wilcox and Sean Ross.
The event was heralded in the Village centre on Saturday by Town Crier Cyril Richardson ;

Before the doors were opened to the public on Sunday Rachel Wilcox, General Manager of The Compass Suites, made a small presentation to Karen & Sean Ross as a token of our appreciation and thanks for all they do, through Rosie's Helping Hands, for others.
The fayre then opened in style with a visit by Santa Claus himself, who proceeded to tour the village . . . .
Before heading into his grotto, ready to receive our younger visitors, all of whom were eager to put in their Christmas orders.
A few of the children did look suspiciously overage, but Santa took it all in his stride . . .
Cyril Richardson very kindly joined us again - braving the elements he reprised his role as Town Crier . . .
"O-YAY, O-YAY, O-YAY ! ! ! ! . . . "
More than 300 customers paid us a visit and thanks to their generosity we managed to raise A grand total of £1467.74 for Rosie's Helping Hands.
A big THANK YOU ! ! to everyone who came along to the Fayre and showed their support.
Special Thanks :
Rachel would like to thank Karen, Sean & Alex Ross for all their help and support in making the event such a success.
